They sent him this card after they got his birth announcement.

Jake had a busy weekend! 

He got to check out Eataly and meet his great aunts Karen & Sharon.

Adventures in cloth diapering - part two

We've been using the cloth diapers for a while and it's going well. So far we only had one leak and it wasn't pretty. Jake was immediately put into the bathtub after he was changed...

Washing the diapers isn't as intimidating as I thought it would be and I was surprised that they come out totally clean- no stains. 

We're still using a disposable diaper overnight and occasionally during the day. When Chris is on diaper changing duty, he uses disposables. He's still a little scared of the cloth ones so I may need to help him out a bit to get him used to them. We also need to buy about 6 more diapers so I don't have to wash a load of them as frequently. 

She knows what she wants

Lately we've been catching Maxie in the pantry staring at her bag of treats. She's pretty much obsessed with them and sometimes she'll even bark at them if we don't give her one. 

Of course we think it's cute, so she ends up getting a couple treats every day. I guess she's figured out how to train us. 

3 months!

Here is Jacob's 3 month update:

He's started to laugh when he really enjoys something.

He just started exercising his voice more and is letting out a little yell every now & then.

He is still very much entertained by his hands and they are often in his mouth. He's gotten his thumb in his mouth a couple of times, but he still can't hold it in there very long.

He LOVES his little Aden & Anais lovey blankie.

He's starting to grasp toys a little better- he likes his Sophie giraffe teether and a small stuffed caterpillar rattle.

His next doctor's appointment is at 4 months, so we have a couple weeks to go to see how much he has grown since his last check-up.

FLW home & studio tour

A few weeks ago, when Grandparents P were visiting, we all went to the Frank Lloyd Wright home & studio for a tour. 

Jake was snuggled in his Ergo carrier and slept the whole time. 

I clearly didn't know I was getting my picture taken... 

Jake's first cold

Jake has been battling his first cold for the past few days. 

He has a mild cough and is sneezing more than usual.

We've been using the humidifier during naps & overnight. Luckily, he is still in pretty good spirits and hasn't had a fever. 

A little facetime

Chris & Jake recently used Skype to call Grandma & Grandpa P in Buffalo.
